Current Major General Asif Ghafoor would be GOC(General officer command)Okara.
Major General Babar Akbar is from Armed Core Unit 6 lansor. He joined Pakistan Army commission in 1990.He is a graduate from command and staff college Quetta.He is also Alumni of national defense university and Royal command and Staff college Jordan.
Major general Babar Akbar have vast experience in command and staff in his service tenure.He worked as a brigadier,Major and Infantry brigade staff in North Waziristan. During operation Zarb-e-Azb he did command of infantry and armed brigade.He also worked as a instructor in NDU(National Defence University Islamabad) & PMA(Pakistan Military Academy).Major General Babar Iftikahr Have four Sons and they are pursuing education .
